The Singapore Scout Guild (“SSG”) will be organising a World Scout Scarf Day dinner on behalf of the Singapore Scout Association (“SSA”).

The event commemorates the World Scout Scarf Day on 1 August, when all active and former Scouts are requested to don their scarf (otherwise known as a neckerchief) in public to make the Spirit of Scouting visible: Once a Scout – Always a Scout! The date of the event commemorates the very first Scout Camp in Brownsea Island in 1907, which was held from 1 to 8 August. Of course, the Scout scarf is only a symbol. It is nevertheless a strong symbol for theScout Promise and Law, and a reminder of our mission of Creating a Better World.

Have an enjoyable time visiting the booths at the foyer of the ballroom! Dine together on sumptuous cuisine in the ballroom. Be entertained with live band performances, ‘FUN-tastic’ games and a very good chance of winning one of many lucky draw prizes.
Most importantly, be prepared to meet old friends and rekindle the Scouting spirit. In the spirit of building community and supporting families, please feel free to bring your family members and friends along for the dinner.
